This is an exhilarating itinerary combining a spectacular trek in Sikkim with a journey to the Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan.

On arrival tour in Calcutta city to see the flower market.

On arrival at Bagdogra drive to Darjeeling - approx 4 hours.

On arrival at Darjeeling transfer to the hotel.

Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill, the early morning Sunrise displays a panorama of colors and sunsets are purple and gold. Beyond In the distance are the Himalayan Peaks. After breakfast, the train ride upto Ghoom.
Afternoon visit to HMI and Zoo.

Morning drive to Gangtok and on arrival transfer to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.


Visit the Enchey Monastery, the White Memorial Hall, Institute of Tibetology, and Cottage Industry and Do Drul Chorten.

Overnight at the hotel.

Morning after breakfast, drive to Kalimpong via the famous RUMTEK Monastery. On arrival at Kalimpong transfer to the hotel.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast drive to Phuntsoling on the border of India and Bhutan.
Overnight at the hotel.

This morning drive along the Wang Chu to Thimphu, the Capital. Lunch will be served at the Hotel. In the afternoon, visit the Memorial Chorten, dedicated to the Late Third King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

Visit Tashichho Dzong, the main Government Secretariat building.
Visit the Simtokha Dzong (6 Kms. from Thimphu), the oldest Dzong in
Bhutan built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1629 A..D.
The Simtokha Dzong houses the largest monastic school in the country.
Later visit to Institute of Traditional Medicine.
Overnight at the hotel.

Drive  to Wangdi Phodrang and Punakha and visit the Dzongs in both the places. On the way, stop at Dochula pass 10,600 ft.) to view the  most spectacular view of the entire eastern Himalayan mountain  ranges.

Drive Punakha to Paro ( 120  Kms ).
Afternoon visit to Paro Dzong Museum.
Overnight at hotel your hotel.

After breakfast,  hike to one of Bhutan’s most  venerated pilgrimage sites, the Taktsang  Gomba, commonly referred to as the ‘Tiger’s Nest’. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche miraculously flew here on the back of a tigress, meditated in a cave here for three months and converted the whole of Paro valley to Buddhism.  Resting at an altitude of 900 m above the floor of Paro valley.

Morning board flight to Delhi and on arrival transfer to hotel.
On arrival transfer to the hotel.
Afternoon time permitting sightseeing tour of Delhi.

In time transfer to the airport to board your flight home.

Temperature and Best Season

The best time to visit the north is between October and March; temperatures are pleasant, the days dry and sunny. From December through to mid-January early morning fog in and around Delhi can disrupt travel plans with flights often delayed or sometimes cancelled. Night temperatures in Rajasthan and the plains often reach freezing point during the winter and it can be chilly before sunrise. April through to August is hot. Early summer is good for wildlife viewing, the parks are free of visitors, vegetation is dry and game easily spotted.
